Trying to recover from the devastating CCL loss, RSL went to Portland and were defeated 1-0 at Jeld-Wen Field by an energized and speedy Timbers squad. Kenny Cooper's awareness to stay with the play saw Nat Borchers' clearance deflect off his leg and into the net for the game’s only goal.
